Some people become ‘Mahatmas’ using this life, and some useless.

Read the following story and decide your life value.

One day, a student asked the principal, ‘What is the value of life?’

Principal taken him to his room and gave him a stone principal asked the student to try to sell it to his relations.

Next day, the student came to the principal and said that nobody would be willing to purchase and throwing the stone away. The principal consoled him and asked to approach the vegetable vendors.

On the next day, the student said happily, someone at the vegetable market ready to pay Rs.100/-.

Then the principal asked the student to go to a jewellery shop to know the value of the stone. He further cautioned the student to go with friends. The shop owner surprised to see such a valuable stone with the students and inquire the principal for confirmation. Then the owner said to the students that I can pay Rs.10 lakhs.

The students shocked and ran to the principal room. The principal said that, you had asked me about the value of life.

In our society, there are three types of people.

First category

Don’t know the life value, just waste their life.

Second category

Know the value of life to some extent, get some job, give birth to children, and deeply involved in family affairs, ultimately dead.

Third category

Those who really understand, use the life for discharging responsibilities, do
good for society, ultimately, reach the heights in life and become ‘Mahatma’.

We can quote a few names of great leaders; those sacrificed their lives for the society (category 1-  Ex. Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, George Washington, Napoleon Bonaparte). We can give millions of  names of  people, those dedicated their lives for the sake of family/job/business, etc. (Category 2).

Similarly, we can list out millions of names of Terrorists, corrupted, cheaters and anti-social elements (Category 3).

All these categories of people are the part of the same society. Whose life is valuable?

If a person belongs to category 1 died, millions of people worldwide feel sad. In the case of category 2, their family members, relatives and friends. Whenever, person belongs to category 3 died many people feel happy.

Category 1 people know the value of life, body and time. They have clear positive goals to do something good for the people. Needless to say, their life is invaluable. But, there is no value for the people fall in the 3rd category. The value may be in between 1st and 3rd for the 2nd category people.

What is your life value?
